1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Searchable PDF SaaS service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

Our service provides Optical Character Recognition (OCR) processing to convert images and scanned documents into searchable PDFs. We process your files and return the results within minutes.

3. File Retention and Deletion Policy

By using our service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Files are automatically deleted after job completion based on your selected retention period (1, 6, 24, or 72 hours)
• You are responsible for downloading your results within this timeframe
• Once deleted, files cannot be recovered
• You can manually delete files at any time before automatic deletion
• Manual deletion is immediate and irreversible

Important: This deletion policy is designed to protect your privacy and ensure no persistent storage of your sensitive documents.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to process uploaded files
• Downloading results within the 15-minute retention period
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not uploading malicious, illegal, or copyrighted content

5. Usage Limits and Fair Use

Our service includes the following limits:

• Maximum file size: 500MB per file
• Maximum pages: 2,000 pages per job
• Rate limits based on your subscription tier
• Concurrent processing limits

Excessive use or abuse of the service may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account.

6. Payment and Billing

Payment terms:

• Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance
• Usage-based charges are billed monthly in arrears
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Refunds are subject to our refund policy

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages that could affect service availability.

Download Protection: Active downloads are protected from automatic deletion. If you are downloading files when the 15-minute timer expires, the deletion will be postponed until the download completes.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for:

• Loss of data due to automatic deletion after the retention period
• Inaccuracies in OCR results
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:

• Your access to the service will be suspended
• Any pending jobs will be completed if possible
• Files will be deleted according to our retention policy
• You remain responsible for any outstanding charges

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through our service. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Japan.
